When I finished college for programming, I had a very specific image of what my career would look like. I would graduate, immediately find a position, write code in a cubicle, work my way up, and have a fancy office of my own. The main thing is, I would enjoy doing it. Still, like a lot of careers, it didn't turn out how I expected. It took me pretty much 14 months to secure a position, and when I did, I absolutely hated it. I felt like a prisoner. Don't get me wrong, I love programming...
